Learn planning and problem solving skills
Chess enables and empowers the player to interact with the world as a planner and problem-solver, a mathematician and philosopher, a sportsman and adversary.
It evokes a mental struggle, pitting opponents against each other in a duel for cerebral supremacy determined on a 64-square field.
Tactics, strategy and theory are components of the successful player’s repertoire as they control and command their armies’ every move. The game is at once exciting and poetic.

Chess, for children of all ages and levels
We offer introductory and advanced levels that target improvement of the game in a motivating social environment. Kids develop individual and interpersonal skills while honing their chess abilities.
Build individuals, build teams
Our scholastic programs run before, during, or after school and present an enriched curriculum rooted in
basic and advanced chess theories and principles.
In addition to their own individual chess skills, each S.E.E.K. Chess instructor is trained in basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to maximize a child’s instructional time. S.E.E.K. Chess does not just teach chess—it builds chess players—as individuals, and as a team.
S.E.E.K. Chess also invites typical and special needs players to small group and private lesson instruction at our clinic.
S.E.E.K. Chess promotes individual and team tournaments
throughout the year.
To enroll in one of the S.E.E.K. Chess groups, call our office for times and pricing. Special needs participants may utilize DDD, Magellan, Mercy Care, or private pay options. S.E.E.K. Chess private lessons are private pay only.
