Campers With Special Needs

Each camper with special needs will be accompanied by a Camp Pal during activities which can be funded through the use of respite hours (24 hours for the weekend) or privately paid.

Who are Camp Pals?

Camp Pals are trained providers that accompany any camper with special needs during their morning programs and during the evening campfire.

In addition, your child’s Camp Pal will assist you 2 hours in the afternoon during family activities and again 2 hours at bedtime during parent/evening activities.

S.E.E.K. Arizona provides Camp Pals for each camper. Families may choose to have their respite or habilitation providers as their assigned Camp Pal if they would like them to share in the camp experience.

All camp staff including Camp Pals are volunteers.

About the experience:
Families will get the total camp experience — from bunk beds to campfires — for 4 days and 3 nights. All activities are geared for campers with special needs, their siblings, and parents.

At night, each family will retire to their own room in a suite-style log cabin, complete with its own bathroom and shower.
