Our Services
currently provides the following services in a client’s
natural environment (home) as well as at our clinic and Life Skills Therapy House.
These services are available to both children and adults qualifying
for Division of Developmental Disabilities or Mercy
Care Plan services, as well as private pay.
- Habilitation is a service
that teaches a communication, cognitive,
motor, social and adaptive skills.
- Habilitation-Communication provides the team with the tools and direction to create verbal behavior programs and teaches functional language and communication skills.
- Respite provides a
caregiver with relief through short-term
care and supervision.
- Attendant Care services provide
assistance with daily living skills.
- Speech Therapy addresses
speech and language skills to increase verbal
communication.
- Occupational Therapy helps
to increase adaptive or physical skills that
aid in daily living and improve interaction
with one's physical and social world.
- Physical Therapy assists
with developing functional abilities in the
areas of movement and motor planning.
- Music Therapy is the specialized
use of music to address social, communication,
emotional, physical, cognitive, sensory and
spiritual needs.
Our Programs
also provides the following programs for children at either our Alma School Clinic or our Life Skills Therapy House. These programs each have a special emphasis on socialization in a familiar and reinforcing environment.
- Adult Horizons is offered to young adults ages 17 years and older to promote a healthy integration into society via independent living. This program focuses on the procurement of a residence and employment.
- Chess Club promotes problem solving, abstract thinking, and positive social interactions through the game of chess.
- Camp Runamuk is a fun-filled four day excursion, promoting family and individual activities for special needs campers and their families.

Now Serving Adults!
has now begun providing all of the great services and therapies that we are known for, to the adult population. Watch for some new programs in 2010 that focus on life skills, job coaching, and transition programs geared just for adults.
Our
Trainings:
Habilitation providers participate in an intensive training program containing both a classroom and in-home component. Each provider will complete an eight hour Core Class followed by one-on-one sessions done in the child's home for a hands on training.
